Aria Hernandez is an ambitious artist, always with an ear out for bird calls. She takes every challenge and task in stride with enthusiasm and focus (while also checking what bird was in that tree just now). 

Aria is a concept artist and illustrator, specializing in creature and character design, as well as FX design. While she typically works traditional media, mainly watercolor and gouache, she continues experimenting with a mixed media style, attempting to blend traditional sketching with digital finishing. She studied at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design earning her degree in Illustration, with a focus in concept art. Her work has been juried into professional shows, and she has been continually selected for the Spivak Studio residency since the Fall of 2023.

She grew up watching Cartoon Network and Studio Ghibli films, and is greatly inspired by their style, emotion, and attention to detail. She wants to be a part of similar projects to inspire others and bring the same joy and investment that she found to other people.  Aria is pursuing a career in the animation industry as a pre-production artist or 2D Effects animator.
